It's a...........

boy! We had our sonogram yesterday, and Baby Z is doing well, has all of the important parts as far as we can tell, and well, I'm still going to be the only gal in the household (not at all a bad thing!). We're very excited and have started teaching Jacob about what an important job being a big brother is!

At the airport.....

Jacob had a great time watching the planes at National Airport last weekend. We went for no apparent reason, just because right now he's obsessed with all things that fly, and we thought he'd enjoy himself. Paul and I had a brief impulsive moment where we thought we should just take him for a ride and fly somewhere, but the only affordable place to go on such short notice was Detroit, and I'm sure you can imagine why we passed. Maybe some other time. That would have been a great story, though! I have no idea why the above text was underlined, and I can't seem to undo it and it's annoying me so I'm going to leave it.

new car.....

I keep wanting to take a picture of my new car to post, but everytime it occurs to me to do so, it's dark out. Lucky for me, Toyota has a picture on their website of a Sienna that is identical to mine, so that will have to suffice for now;-) I'm having fun with the new wheels, it's pretty big, but lots of fun bells and whistles, and it's always fun to have a new car. My Subaru has a happy new home in Annapolis, MD with a couple who I'm sure will take good care;-) And we're very excited to be heading out on our inaugural road trip to Corolla, NC, this Saturday. Can't wait to get on the road! More later.....

Well that was easy......

I got a job on Monday, that was easier than I thought it would be. I'll be working for a company called Atlantic Health Services, on a contract with the DC Public Schools, primarily doing assessment and reporting writing (both parts of my job that I really like!). I start on September 13 and will work the DC Public School schedule, which means just as much time off as the kiddies in school (Yay!). So that's a big relief. Now Jacob can stay in his daycare which he loves, and I can get some good experience in the school systems. Now....to finish that pesky dissertation ;-)
